Position Title: Dishwasher (Full Time Saturday and Sunday) 8:00 AM-7:30 PM

Position Summary: The purpose of this position is to ensure wares are washed, cleaned, and dried. Assists in the kitchen area prior to, during, and after meals are served to the residents/patients.

Responsibilities:

• Properly washes all wares including pots, plans, flatware, and glasses, by hand or using dishwashers.
• Keeps dish area free of clutter and organized.
• Ensures work areas remain safe, clean, and orderly, adhering to all company, local, and state guidelines regarding health, safety, and sanitation.
• Maintains clean / dry floors throughout the shift.
• Assists other department staff as needed to ensure timely production, service, and clean-up.
• Completes kitchen shift-end duties as assigned by the Dietary Manager or directed by cook in charge.
• Perform other duties as assigned/required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Read, write, speak and understand the English language.

Qualifications:

• One (1) to Three (3) years of dishwashing experience preferred.
• High degree of professionalism and strong work ethic.
• Must be dependable, proactive, and prompt.
• Ability to multi-task, be flexible, and stay focused on the big picture

Education:

• High school diploma required.

Other Qualifications:

• Must possess a general appreciation of seniors and an understanding of the aging process, as well as be aware of its challenges. The maintenance and promotion of a good working relationship between staff, families and residents is essential.
• Must exhibit and promote a high level of customer service and hospitality towards and among all residents, employees, visitors, and the community.
